boat.jpg
A very old deserted rowboat falling to pieces sits on the island of Stora Gråskär in the S:t Anna archipelago, Sweden.
It was just beautiful as a stilleben over nature's circle of life. Unused, the boat will disappear into the wilderness again.

Interesting facts
Photographed on 24x36 infrared bl&w neg film. A black filter was used before the lens, only letting through the infrared wavelengths. In nature, chlorophyll reflects this light to protect the plant from heat, making leaves and grass white in the photographs. Only dust and moisture reflect the light in the sky, making clear skies appear dark. This photograph captured the scene through thick fog. That causes an almost ordinary bl&w photography image to appear though captured in infrared neg film with high contrast. Note that the infrared wavelength of light nearly causes the mist to disappear.
Kodak bl&w Infrared High-Speed Film 2484 (now discontinued) with a Kodak Wratten black filter nr. 87. The film was manually developed by the photographer. Negative scanned 2020, adjusted, balanced, and retouched from scratches and dust in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, preparing it for Fine Art prints.
No AI was used, and the motive was not altered. It is a pure, actual photograph.
